Matt Drzewicki Chosen to Lead Target’s...

Roundel, Target’s retail media network, has a new leader in Matt Drzewicki.

Drzewicki has been leading the ad business on an interim basis since January, when Sarah Travis was promoted from president of Roundel to executive vice president and chief digital and revenue officer for Target.

On June 1, Drzewicki will take the reins full-time as senior vice president of Roundel.

The move comes after another quarter of disappointing earnings for the retailer, which chief executive officer Brian Cornell attributed to tariff-related uncertainty and consumer boycotts following Target’s January decision to end supplier and workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The company saw a 3% drop in sales compared to last year.

Like many retailers, though, Roundel has proved to be a bright spot amid broader challenges. Advertising revenue increased from $130 million in Q1 of 2024 to $163 million in Q1 of 2025, reflecting a roughly 25% boost.

“Roundel exists to help our business partners grow by leveraging what only Target can offer—scale, trust, creativity, and a guest who truly wants to be inspired,” Drzewicki said in a statement. In its next chapter, he continued, Roundel will focus on “close collaboration with our strategic partners, while also expanding and developing new partnerships to continue innovating in the retail media landscape.”

Drzewicki joined Roundel in 2022 as vp of the RMN’s partner solutions group, following over a decade at Google. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Michigan-based media and marketing firm Valassis.
